Charlotte has two nonprofit clinics that publish their prices (Stand For Animals and the Humane Society of Charlotte), a city/county shelter that offers free spay/neuter to qualifying Mecklenburg County residents, and a monthly free rabies drive-thru. None of these handle emergencies; the three 24/7 emergency hospitals we checked all say they accept CareCredit and Scratch (Scratchpay) financing.
Emergency right now? Go to a 24/7 emergency vet. Ask for a written estimate and whether they take CareCredit or Scratch before treatment starts.
